JAMB Releases Mmesoma Ejikeme’s Original UTME Result as House of Reps Intervenes, Video Surfaces

FCT, Abuja – The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has gone public with the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) result slip of Ejikeme Mmesoma following the controversy surrounding her score.

JAMB’s spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, had on Sunday, July 2, accused Ejikeme of manually manipulating her UTME result to attract a N3 million scholarship from Innoson Motors.

During an interview on Channels TV on Tuesday, July 4, Benjamin shared Ejikeme’s UTME result which shows that the student of Anglican Girls Secondary School in Nnewi, Anambra state, scored 249 in the exam, TheCable reported

The UTME result presented by JAMB is different from the result slip being paraded by Mmesome, which showed she scored 362

Also, both Ejikeme and JAMB’s results showed inconsistency in the Anambra student’s month of birth.

The controversial 362 UTME result showed Mmesoma was born on March 2, 2004 while JAMB’s result JAMB revealed she was given birth to on April 2, 2004.

Meanwhile, JAMB has been urged to lift the three-year suspension ban placed on Mmesoma from sitting the UTME.

The House of Representatives made the call on Wednesday, July 19, following Mmesoma’s confession to having manipulated her UTME result from 249 to 362.

The House Ad-hoc Committee, led by Sada Soli, is looking into the suspected manipulation of JAMB facilities in an effort to prevent a similar incident from occurring again.

In a similar story, Legit.ng had reported that the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has revealed ways in which candidates inflate their 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results.

The examination body disclosed that candidates and their alleged sponsors defraud Nigerians with the claims that they had excellent results or got the highest score in the UTME using a particular software.
